Integrated multichannel recorder with autosplit, automap directly in your instrument

With the integrated recording section in Keymap Pro 2.2 you can directly record up to 32 audio into the  instrument matrix at once to create the most ambitious surround instruments and sounds instantly. The recording section has full provision for automatic threshold based start, stop, cut, trim automap and autoloop, so that you can leave Keymap Pro 2 recording and just play  the sounds you want to record.

For each recorded sound, a new zone on a new key in sequential order, or on its pitch-detected key,  is created.

Record and AutoSample from any Audio Device or from any host on a network or the internet

Keymap Pro 2.2 doesn’t just record or autosample from audio devices connected to your Mac, but also from any computer over your local network or internet using the standard freely available AUNetSend plugin in Mac OS X.

This lets you record sounds from any software that has AudioUnit slots, from any physical location around the world.

Integrated basic AutoSampler

If you want to start from a sound you heard in one of your synths/samplers, just connect it to your Mac and use the built-in AutoSampler feature in Keymap Pro. The section is based on the same technology available in AutoSampler 2, gives you control over the note and velocity ranges to sample, and is exceptional for a quick but precise import from hardware and software synthesizers.

Interactive AutoSampler Live mode

Keymap Pro 2.2 also offers a new interactive AutoSampling mode that lets you AutoSample the notes the moment you play them on the keyboard, and place them exactly on the key and at the velocity you are playing. This is the fastest and easiest way to import a sound coming from a MIDI sound source, for uninterrupted creative workflow.

AutoSampler Live for acoustic instruments

The AutoSampler Live mode can be also used to sample a non-MIDI/acoustic instrument in realtime.

Press the key on the MIDI controller, play the instrument, and that’s it, the sound will be recorded, trimmed and mapped instantly.

Integrated sample browser

Regardless of what you are going to do in Keymap Pro, most of the times you’ll start by bringing in a set of samples. For this reason, Keymap Pro  now offers an integrated browser with all the relevant folders (project, home , desktop, volumes, recordings ) just a click away, and 3 user configurable locations.

The filter options make easy to find what you are looking for, and you can preview samples before importing them. Once you find the right sound for your project, you can import it, also with automapping, with a click of a button or by drag and drop.

Extended sample format support

Keymap Pro 2.2 directly supports Wave, AIFF, SD2, CAF, MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless audio files at any bitdepth and sample rate. On export or recording, it supports creation of multichannel Wave, AIFF and CAF at 16, 24 or 32(floating point) bit.  Apple Lossless and AAC encoded from 32 to 128kbps per channel are also supported for EXS24 instruments.
